When the Bend Parks and Recreation IT Manager approached our team, he presented a challenging yet exciting vision: replace their cumbersome production suite with a streamlined audiovisual system for public board meetings.

The goal was ambitious: a system so intuitive it could be operated by a single volunteer or entry-level technician, capable of simultaneously managing local audio, live streaming, and recording, all from a computer in the back of the room. This desire to be on the "bleeding edge of technology" included integrating IP-controlled, remote cameras, seamlessly working with any streaming platform, minimizing the footprint, yet easy to use. A tall order that laid the groundwork for a truly complex and innovative AV design.

The local Parks and Recreation department needed to transform their multi-use community room into a versatile, high-tech space. AUDIO AND VIDEO SOLUTIONS

The Solution

We delivered a sophisticated system featuring three PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) HD cameras that capture every angle and person in the room. This video is seamlessly mixed with PC-based content for high-quality internet streaming.

The room now boasts three 4K video displays, including a projector and screen for clear audience viewing. A ceiling-mounted microphone array picks up audio from the entire room, ensuring crystal-clear sound for both in-room audiences and internet viewers.

At the heart of the system is a digital control system and Video Matrix/Mixer that simplifies and automates operation, achieving TV station-like broadcast quality. All operations are handled by a single operator using a series of macros, streamlining typical meeting scenarios and making complex productions effortless.
